Food anger

steveo | Mar 11, 2006 05:25 PM

occurs when i'm highly anticipating a satisfying meal and unexpectedly get bummed out.

for example, dinner at petitte abeille last night. wanted the roquefort bacon burger with frites and a stella. at the last minute changed my mind and had bad vol au vent (too creamy and tasted like it was made at Gristede's). then had to pay $60.

sticking with your original plan won't lead to food anger.

another example happened this morning at ess a bagel. the weeklong anticipation of a hot out of the oven sesame bagel. only to be greeted with cold bagels in every flavor. i decide not to wait ten minutes and eat a cold one. again, food anger.

anyone else experience this? maybe i intentionally find ways to torture myself b/c i don't feel worthy.

Going to Telepan next week. Help me not experience food anger. What to order?
