Follow Up: What would you bake for a work Bon Voyage Pot Luck?

Thank you to all of you that replied to my original post.

I especially would like to thank brookmonton for suggesting that I ask the honoree what she would like. I never realized how selfish I sounded until I read that post! Of course I should ask her - the party is for her! and I'd bake anything she'd ask me to! I guess I hestitated to do that because I wanted what I was bringing to be a surprise, and in that thought lost what was the most obvious answer.

I asked her and her answer was: BROWNIES! No matter that her party is at 9:00 am! So be it!

I'll be making the Alton Brown Cocoa Brownie recipe. I have made the brownies before and served them with homemade vanilla bean ice cream and hot fudge sauce at a recent staff meeting. Everyone raved!

Thank you again to all those that responded. I'd love to be able to bake right before work, but I start at 7 am!! Now if you do have an excellent from scratch brownie recipe that you love, please share! I'll be baking tomorrow night.
