Have been following the chat on this board since 9/11 and have been heartened by what the world is FINALLY beginning to appreciate, i.e. the real heart of NYC and New Yorkers. I'm a regular on the DC/Baltimore board and although haven't lived in the City for a long time (since '84) definitely think of myself, especially these days, as a New Yorker. I've been exhorting anyone who will listen to me to visit NYC now and often, spend as much money as we can afford, etc. Any suggestions of what to say and how to entice others to visit that have worked for you, please share. No way do we let the City down now. My wife and I will be in Manhattan this weekend, and we'll visit as often as we can over the next several months. Best thoughts to all and we all stand with you.
