I bought a watermelon on 8/29/2021, stored it on my kitchen table. It started foaming M evening 8/30. I washed it off and put it in the fridge to cool. Today on T, I cut it into cubes. The melon cubes taste okay. They are sweet and refreshing. They smell okay.
The mouth feel of the melon cubes is off. They are mealy. and a few are fizzy. It's an over ripe melon that started to ferment. The fridge stopped the fermenting.
Am I better off to throw it all away?
