I walked by a restaurant on Lincoln Road in South Beach last night--I think it was Yuca--and noticed a special menu posted, listing "Florida Corvine" as one of the dishes. As far as I know "corvine" is to "crow" what "bovine" is to "cow" and "swine" is to "pig". Am I missing something? Or does this word have a special meaning in the Florida culinary vernacular? Or does some Miami Beach chef need a vocabulary lesson?
