The Flavoring from the Rivets and what hides Between the Seams

Someone recently mentioned Charlies -oozing- statement....

Awhile back, I did a post on how much brownie points one took on a NSF rated item. (for me, it was more just about NSF rated utensils) Is it just -paid testing- to get the badge, and or whether or not the NSF was worth it's badge in itself regardless. Or just more marketing points to sell to commercially due to the approved rating . That post was in regards to when I look at utensils and how the handles are designed/affixed , or how about the handles with any sort of moulded plastic grip. And what may -seep- inside the handles and be difficult to clean....

Off to revisit the topic again.
Just arrived at the doorstep was a new fish descaler today I had ordered. The handle was a large oval rubber...and where the steel went into this hole, it's not mouled on but friction fit on. Anyhow, the hole is kinda oversized a bit and I see myself removing the handle and making sure it's clean water that is rinsed once I'm done and it's washed to be put away. Kinda not keen on this design but we'll see how well this descaler works. Anyhow, I suppose this friction fit might get more loosey goosey down the road....It is what is is.
