I am planning to replace my old flatware and measuring cups with the new one's. I read different threads for those and felt that most the brands/models mentioned in those threads are either not available presently or people complaining abt the quality degraded in their present products when compared with their old products(ex CIA and All clad measuring cups and some of the oneida flatware models).
I am just aware that 18/8 and 18/10 have only the difference of nickel% in them and thus the rust. But I am not sure about which stainless steel should be used for flatware either 18/8 or 18/10 or any other. Please let me know which quality SS is good for flatware and how much heavy they should be ?
I would also like to know about which finish is better for every day use?
I prefer some plain flatware models so that dust will not accumulate between the small lines in the models with some design.
Can you all please suggest me with your experience which flatware and measuring cups brands and models are good to have with respect to their quality currently?
