If you had the chance to ask Marcus Samuelsson one question, what would it be?

We just got word from Marcus Samuelsson that he’d love to answer questions from the community. Since time is of the essence, Marcus will answer the five most-voted questions posted on this thread. The limit to send your question and vote is Thursday, February 2nd at 4:00 pm ET.

Marcus is the author of several cookbooks including the James Beard Award Winning The Soul of a New Cuisine, Marcus Off Duty: The Recipes I Cook at Home, and The Red Rooster Cookbook (October 2016). In addition to being a successful cookbook author, Marcus released his New York Times Bestseller and James Beard-winning memoir Yes, Chef in 2012 to rave reviews and his young adult book,Make It Messy. This January, Marcus also partnered with Stella Artois at the Sundance Film Festival to help kick-off the third year of their “Buy A Lady A Drink” campaign, dedicated to ending the global water crisis.
