My English aunt used to whip up a snack she called "flapjack." I remember it had butter, sugar & (uncooked)oatmeal mixed and spread in a cake pan, then baked until crisp. It could have had flour as well but I'm not sure. I've tried recreating this on my own but I can't seem to get the proportions right. She would cut it into wedges for serving and it had some crunch but wasn't like a struesel or granola. Is anyone familiar with a similar recipe that they could share? Thanks in advance!
