I failed the supper test last night, making a Rigatoni
Casalinga alla Mama Gina. I made it with sausage, green and red bell peppers and onions cooked down in beef broth, light on the garlic. My evaluator told me straight off: not enough Garlic.
I used whole wheat low-carb Rigatoni, which together with the beef broth, threw the balance off. And too much green bell pepper, not enough red bell pepper.
No more beef broth for me, chicken or vegetable from now on.
It was the poorest thing I've cooked since the wedding.
The Flaming Torch, opened on Octavia right off of Magazine at Jefferson Avenue Saturday night. I heard in PJ's that their linen was delivered by taxi right before they opened. No reports yet.
