I inherited a rusty old cast iron skillet from a friend a few months ago. I thought I fixed it up - wiped off all the rust, applied bacon grease, baked to season, etc.
Yesterday I made cornbread and sadly my beloved husband did something to it when cleaning and I came in the kitchen to find it sitting out all rusty again.
Is this thing fixable? How do I get it clean/non-rusty and keep it that way?
