Can I fix my orange marmalade?

I followed a recipe in the local newspaper for a simple blood orange marmalade. It is simply orange peel, pulp, sugar and water. After simmering all of it for 45 minutes I tested the mixture to see if it would gel on a cold plate as directed ( I didn't have a functioning candy thermometer). Since I've never made any kind of jelly, I wasn't real sure what to look for. Long story short, I put it in jars and then refigerated, but it never thickened properly. Is there a way I can save it? Do you think I could reheat it and simmer it longer? It tastes really good and I'd love to be able to save it.
