Because we’re a crew of two cooking on a gas range at home, I’ve planned to get the 24cm Fissler pots/pans. Are these 24cm ones inferior to the 28cm due to lesser amount of aluminum in the disc base? Points if you also have a recommendation for a 3L sauce pan for custards, caramels, oats, and small pasta boils.
I’m planning to buy:
Fissler low roaster/rondeau- 24cm/3L
Fissler Stew Pot- 24cm/6.3L
I do acknowledge that the reason for the difference in thickness likely relates to size of pan being heated, e.g. a bigger pan needs greater thickness for more even heating towards the edges. But I just want to be sure that the expense is worth it even for the 24cm.
We love to cook Mediterranean food, especially Italian and Greek sauces, stews, veg, grains, etc. One of us is an omnivore, the other a vegetarian.
