FISH in Port Chester report

Sara | Aug 12, 2005 02:42 PM

I ate at FISH last night in Port Chester. The food was great, but the service was totally awful. First of all we had reservations for 8:30- we got there at about 8:40 and she said our table would be ready in about 10 minutes because the party before was just paying.

So, we went into the bar to get our drinks. We all got a glass of wine (there were 6 of us). It took about 20 minutes to get the wine because they didn't have any clean glasses. We were also wondering what was up with our table. Finally we were told by the hostess that our table was ready, so we had to pay the wine and then we were finally seated (about 30 minutes late).

The waitress did not come over for about 15 minutes. At this point it is about 9:30. Finally we ordered. We got 2 tuna flat breads for appetizers which were delicious and lots of tuna. For dinner I had the Seafood Paella and it was great- it was $25.00, but there was so much seafood and chicken and chorizo it was well worth it. Everyone else at the table was satisfied with their dinners except my fiancé. They messed his order up and when he did get it he said it was just OK. He got the "naked" tuna.

I guess I would go back, but I am weary of the service.
