Fireweed honey?

Dave | Aug 17, 2003 07:43 PM

While travelling in the Canadian Rockies, I had
an ice cream made from fireweed honey. It was
superb, and I want to try making some of the same
ice cream at home.

Does anyone know of a source in/near New York
City that might sell this type of honey? It is
made predominantly in the Pacific northwest, using
bees that have been polinating fireweed, which
are flowers that grow in a forest area after a
fire.

Thanks,

Dave
