So, I decided to make my boyfriend dinner last night because he had a bad day at work. I had my favorite Innova frying pan heating up in preparation to sautee the italian sausage... I had the pan way, way, way too hot when I went to put the olive oil in.
The fire started almost instantly. Kudos to my bf for calmly finding the lid to the pan while I was holding the increasingly large inferno away from the cabinets and other flammable objects.
We covered the pan, put the fire out, opened the windows and were quite thankful that the fire didn't cause any real damage or spread.
But now, how do I clean my frying pan? I love it. It has a stay cool handle and glass lid. I tried scrubbing it, soaking it and putting it in the dishwasher. It is still covered in a black, sticky film. Anyone know how I can get it cleaned up? Thanks in advance.
