I tried Fiore's today, and was pleasantly surprised at how good the biscotti were. It looks like the come in only one flavor-- hazelnut-- but they were chock full of nuts, crisp and yet not jaw breaking, and not too sweet. They went great with my coffee at home. I also got some sesame cookies, and they were much better than any italian cookie I've had before, dry, but not sawdusty, again, not too sweet, and the sesame seeds were not all stale tasting. I was eyeing the enormous lobster tails and the ricotta cheesecakes, but I'll try those another time. It is a very italian-american bakery, with frosting galore, but I do have a sweet spot for that kind of bakery, having grown up in the Everett/Revere area. Looking forward to trying the cheesecake soon.
