Finney's on the Alley

IMO: it's hard to find the first time but worth it if you are in the area, it's open, you've got time, and you like customized burgers. The location, the alley south of 8840 Olympic, BH, basically between Clark & Swall. Parking can be problematic, best is probably a metered space on Swall, etc. Every thing made to order. This is fast food your mom would like. First, it's not particularly fast because the place is popular (lots of regulars), the kitchen small, and everything is thoroughly cooked. Fries come well done. Burger patties cooked thru, lean beef that doesn't drip. Bacon strips very crisp. You will not encounter unfriendly bacteria here. The double Schwartzburger with bacon strips and avocado is filling for $6.25. I'd order it with less lettuce and mustard instead of the mayo if I did it again. The fries at $2.25 are served in a generous portion, but next time I'd opt for the chili cheese at $3.40. You get free refills on drinks which go for $1. Egg creams are $2. It's open 11-7:30. All tables are outdoors. It's popular so you have to be prepared to wait. Took me 49 minutes to order, get served and eat, and I eat fast food fast. This is a good alternative to The Apple Pan if you are in the area. It's not worth a special trip when you could go to a nearby Fatburger in your area.
