Our first ever NAPA trip last year was amazing thanks to some of your recommendations. We stayed at the Wine Country Inn, tasted at Phelps, Newton, Pride and Spring Mountain and ate at Redd, Sunshine Market (picnic) and Goose and Gander. We are coming back later this month for another short birthday weekend with another couple. (sans our 6 kids)
Our home base will be at the Harvest Inn this time. On Friday, from the Oakland airport, we hope to have our first meal at ZUZU and hitting Far Niente mid afternoon. I could use a possible wine rec here for wine tasting in case we have some free time before the FN tasting.
On Sat, we plan to hit Sunshine Market for some goodies and have tastings at Newton in the morning and Pride with a picnic lunch thereafter. I realize my wife and I were there last year but our friends have not and we wouldn't mind the great wines and scenery for a second time. After Pride, we have a tasting at Hall to finish the day. Here I can use another nearby wine rec to really finish the day time permitting.
We have not made dinner plans yet for Saturday and prefer to stay in or close to St Helena. We each have a preference for either French, Italian, Seafood and Bistro food so picking one restaurant has been a bit challenging...though we would really enjoy anything. I was looking into Terra, Torc, Cindy's, Lucy or Farmstead. What would you suggest ?
Lastly, I need a breakfast place for early Sunday since our flight is at noon. I was hoping to try Brix but it opens at 10. TIA !
