A fine fruitcake at McDonalds

The Muffin Bell sold at McCafe is a medium fruitcake with lots of nuts and raisins. There are also delicious diced apples that have a slight boozy quality. There's a little candied fruit that is enough without being obnoxious. The tasty dried fruit attractively decorates the top. Theres a nice white icing that has a hint of marshmallow in it.

I'm not sure how many McCafes sell this, but IMO, McDonalds should add it at Christmas time everywhere.. I had this in Antigua, Guatemala. There's also a cheesecake topped with pineapple and raisins, but I'm pretty certain that is only local to Guatemala.

Skip the seasonal mint mocha. It looks pretty but tastes dreadful. All the flavor is in the chocolate squiggle on top. I didn't realize this till the end. The cappuccino is fine, it is the squiggle. The mint flavor is bitter.

Gratuitious photo of the patio at McDonalds in Antigua ... the city has strict zoning laws requiring every place to be drop dead gorgeous, even McDonalds .
