My Grandmother used to make a topping for angel food cake that we called Raspberry Fluff. I have searched everywhere and the closest I've gotten is a 2008 post here at Chowhound that could have been written by me from someone searching for what I feel is the exact same recipe. I remember the ingredients were few and in equal amounts: example: 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup fresh raspberries, but that's all I remember. I know it was light and airy, semi stiff, almost like merengue but not. It would soak into the cake if it sat too long but would stay "fluffy" if kept chilled and refrigerated. Does anyone have the recipe? I now have my own raspberry bushes and just picked a large batch and would dearly love to taste my favorite childhood dessert. Someone must know this recipe, it was way too good to be my Grandmother's own creation. Please help, my 3 granddaughters want to know why I'm searching so hard and they want to taste it too. Thanks, in advance, I hope.
