Where can I find the weight of All-Clad pans?

Question

I can't seem to find a reliable source that has the weight of the All-Clad pans. I'm particularly interested in the skillets/frypans, and saute pans.

They don't list it on their website unlike some other manufacturers. The weight listed on Amazon is unreliable at best, as it often includes the packaging.

I just want to do a comparison with my Demeyere pans.

Also, is All-Clad really that good? Everyone raves ahout them. Do they live up to the hype?

I'll probably never try one as long as I'm living in Europe. They are ridiculous expensive here.

If you have specific sizes and models in mind, list them. Lots of people here have them and can weigh them.

Yes, it's puzzling why All-Clad doesn't publish all the weights.

I would be shocked if any pieces of A-C are heavier than comparable clad Demeyere ones. However, if you want to quantify how *much* heavier, and since you live in Europe, you're probably reduced to having someone here who owns it weigh it for you. Either that or (a) comb through detailed reviews; or (b) call or write to A-C directly or one of its remaining B&M sellers. Oh, and you might find a few weights in Franz's (CenturyLife) tests.

All-Clad makes good pans, not IMO great pans. They make them in several lines and offer many pieces--probably more than any other maker. The fit and finish are very good. However, most A-C is thinner and lighter than brands like Demeyere. I consider A-C to perform at the same level as Cuisinart, Tramontina, Mauviel, etc.

I think the reason for raves you see is mostly a (somewhat uninformed) status thing, much like you hear about Staub and Le Creuset ECI. This may be even be true in Europe, where scarcity and high prices add to the allure.

Finally, in case you're ever tempted to buy one, you need to be prepared for the iconic U-shaped stick handles. Some people like them. Most people who've posted here about them (including me) find them annoying.

Just as an example, I find the Demeyere Industry 5 32cm frypan or skillet too light, at 1.9kg, and also too thin.

But I'm probably spoiled as I'm so used to the 4.8mm thickness of the Proline.

I'm just curious if an All-Clad of an equivalent size is heavier or lighter than the 1.9kg of the Industry 5.

Your best bet is coming across someone who owns All-Clad pieces and owns a scale. Franz on Century Life has provided the weight of the 12 inch skillets and straight sided saute pans of the C2, D7, and the D3. There's a YouTube user who buys a lot of cookware and has provided weights of three different 8 inch All-Clad skillets. 
Old school LTD with the classic handle: 1 lb 11.1 oz.
All-Clad MC2: 1 lb 7.7 oz
New All-Clad LTD: 1 lb 5.4 oz.

Not particularly. The more popular All-Clad pans like the D3, D5, and the Copper Core either perform below or about the same as the Demeyere Industry 5 stuff. The discontinued D7 comes closest to the Demeyere Proline but would still fall short. 
All-Clad is only hyped because they were the original tri-ply brand that as am57 said, had the patent on it. Nowadays you can get near equal or slightly better pans for a lot less money. All-Clad is mostly popular for people who are ignorant to other brands that exist out there.

I don't know if you are able to access williams-sonoma.com or surlatable.com but they have weights listed in their specifications for the cookware on their sites. I don't know how accurate it is but you can at least estimate.

P.S. If you can't access their sites, you can tell us which pans and one of us in the U.S. can look it up on their websites and post their specs.

They aren't better than Demeyere Industry. The only line that might be is the Copper Core (Maybe G5?), the other ones have less heat-spreading aluminum. I also think their handles are worse, their finish is worse and they are riveted instead of high-quality welded.

Copper Core is ~1mm of copper, so somewhat thin but probably similar to a bit below Industry in spreading but more responsive.

They do have the advantage of being light, and they're well-constructed (don't tend to warp, delaminate, have defects, etc.). Their thinness will make them a bit more responsive than thicker pans of similar materials and construction. In North America they tend to be a bit cheaper (other than Copper Core). There is otherwise no advantage. I'd never buy them over Demeyere, personally.
