Help! I'm coming to SF for a conference next week (from the Washington DC area) and bringing my new girlfriend along for the weekend. Sunday night is planned, but I need a spot for Saturday night. She likes seafood and she's not really a foodie, but I want the place to be a combination of romantic with a true San Francisco feel, something we might talk about for months or years to come.
I come to San Francisco about yearly, and I've eaten at places like the Slanted Door and Silk at the Mandarin Oriental. I'm looking for more of a statement restaurant -- it screams that we're in San Francisco, it provides a memory of place and time, and it gives very good food at not too outrageous prices. Some very rudimentary research points me to Tadich Grill, but I thought I would pulse my foodie friends for a suggestion....Thanks!
