Word on the street is that Shun Lee can hook up a special 13 course (7 person minimum) traditional chinese banquet (the type of thing that courtesians would eat back in the day...and probably still eat today). I'm looking for something that allows the chef to not be constrained by western tastes or expectations...
I heard that the banquets often feature such items as duck tongue, shangtong broth, shark fin and other rare ingredients and preparations.
I would be extremely greatful if someone can drop some knowledge on the subject and refer me to a place that can cook up some delicious traditional banquet food. I want to be able to go to a place with a large group and have a long bacchanalian feast..please help me.
