Does anyone know where I could buy monocalcium phosphate online or around the GTA area? It is often contained in baking powder and used as a leavening agent, but I can't seem to find it anywhere in its pure form.
I bought half a pound of Pomona Pectin a while back (cost me a pretty penny) and I simply cannot find the monocalcium phosphate powder that came with it. It is used to make the 'calcium water' that is a necessary part (i.e. one of the activating ingredients) for the Pomona Pectin to work.
I am STUMPED as where to look (have been online for an hour or more).
Any help would be appreciated.
PS - I though of the many bottles of calcium tablets I already have in my vitamin cabinet but not one of these is the phosphate variety (only citrate, carbonate).
