Last time I went to Mexico I brought back 5 kilos of tortillas. Just used the last one. They lose some flavor in freezing, but are still way better than anything I've found here. A post on the Manhattan site said that there's no point in going to the outer boroughs to buy fresh masa because even the tortilla factories use Maseca. Goya and Key food tortillas have the best texture I've found (better than Azteca, Mission, and their ilk), but none of the corn aroma or flavor a tortilla should have. Isn't anyone making real tortillas from real masa in NYC? Tortilleria, food store, bodega, restaurant, whatever?
