There's finally another restaurant worth trying to get into in Chico aside from Sierra Nevada's Brew Pub, and 5th Street Steak House. Give Hemingway's a try. We were served fabulously crisp and tasty crabcakes as an appetizer, Pacific NW style clam chowder, that wasn't overwhelmed by the addition of bacon, and their special of the night was a mammoth 1 pound rib eye stuffed with roasted garlic and bleu cheese, served on crackling onions and sauced with a cabernet demiglace. The taste was worth the potential heart-attack! The steak was accompanied by two choices of sides, we opted for baked potato, loaded with the real things, and sauteed asparagus. We'll be going back to try their other offerings. We were enchanred by the calamari picatta, among other items. We'll keep you posted!
