With so many tacquerias in the Bay area I'm surprised I have not been able to find more authentic classic Mexican food in the Bay area. There is Guyamas (sp?) in Tiburon (possibly not very authentic, but at least different), but what else? I mean restaurants like Rick Bayless's place in Chicago (Burger King ads - what is he THINKING?) or Barrio Cafe in Phoenix. Things like Enchiladas Suiza or various mole sauces or stuffed poblanos (other than chili rellenos). Diane Kennedy cooking. Perhaps some might consider it "upscale" Mexican. But I'm looking for more than the everyday burrito or taco. Anything out there? Thanks!
