I love infusing alcohols, but I keep having this problem. My already filtered (coffee filters) bourbon/vodka infusions look and taste lovely for a time, and then they start to develop this cloud in the bottle. The infusion as a whole isn't cloudy, there's a CLOUD inside it. Is this normal? It doesn't look normal. I'm not refrigerating these infusions, but the recipes don't tell me to.
Are there any infusers out there who can give me some insight. I'm not drinking or gifting till I know this stuff is safe.
