Figs for brunch

Jo | Oct 9, 2002 09:01 AM

This weekend we had brunch at Figs in the art museum area. We really enjoyed it. They have a full brunch menu including omlettes, smoked salmon, french toast, pancakes, potatoes, fruit etc. The quality was excellent with rather large portions. I was blown away by the pancakes. I have never had pancakes prepared this way. The only way to describe them is really huge. They are large and very fluffy. They have buttermilk, strawberry and banana walnut pancakes.

They also have a spicy moroccan beef and egg dish which was excellent.

On the negative side...The service needs some improvement. Perhaps they were short handed that day but we had some difficulty getting our server's attention for additional items after our food was served.
