Went to dinner at Figo on Friday night for convenience sake, but wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. Very friendly service, interesting (if slightly pricey) Italian wine list and smallish but very good menu. Their in-house ricotta with vina cotto is well worth sampling, their zucchini fritters are a treat: paper thing, lightly glazed with honey and delicious.
We kept away from the meat/fish mains and wood-oven pizzas (which looked great, BTW) and ate pasta. Tagliatelle with baby clams was refreshingly light, with a nice taste of dill and a touch of chili. The Fergula with mussels also pleased: served in tomato broth heady with saffron. Shared an apple/chestnut torte with gelato afterwards. Excellent quality throughout. The crowd was nice and buzzy, in a good mood (but then, who isn't at 6PM on a Friday).
Would definitely go again :)
