I took a group of 14 year-old 8th graders on a fieldtrip to the MFA on Monday. After we were chased out of the museum by very grumpy security guards, we went to Chinatown for lunch. Based on a recommendation from you guys, I took the group to the Chinatown Eatery.
VERY successful! True, it's not the most glamorous place and also true, the kids mostly ordered sweet&sour chicken and pork-fried rice, but they had a wide variety to choose from and were at least exposed to a slightly wider selection of Chinese food. Their world is ever-so-slightly wider today.
The grand-champion, Big Kahuna winner of the day, food-wise though, was the juice at the juicebar at the Eatery. I'd never had any tea or juice with the giant black pearl tapioca before and it was spectacular! I couldn't decide between honeydew melon juice with pearls and an avacado milkshake, so I got both.
A triumph, that's all I can say.
