After experiencing the recently concluded Giglio festival in Williamsburg this last Sunday (thanks to the board for bringing to my attention) I want more!
Does anyone have the inside skinny on any other street festival in the outer boroughs? And I don't mean the sort of thing that plagues Manhattan every weekend (how many tube socks can a guy buy, anyway?).
Does, for instance, Jackson Heights ever erupt into a frenzy of Hindu celebration? How about other religious and/or traditional rituals and such that might take place in the streets of New York and offer up interesting things to watch with delightful things to eat?
