I have not posted here in awhile, but I am coming back, because I cannot deal with the whiny babies over at a certain food page on FB. Ugh! anyway, I digress...

We had lunch at Fernandez Birria Restaurant today and it friggin amazing. Husband had a large bowl of birria. I had two birria tacos with everything, and the "Chupacabra" which was basically a birria taco with everything and then grilled. Everything was delicious. The birria was straight up dripping, juicy, seasoned perfection, and the corn tortillas were homemade. Food heaven. The service was welcoming and by the time we left, I felt like I had 5 new cousins. The owner has a background in fine dining, used to work at 5th and Laurel BACK in the day. Worth a trip to Southbay, and worth battling the crazy parking.
