I tried Feng's Asian in Amherst, on the side street across from Frederick's Pastries, a few weeks ago. This restaurant replaces the old Lucky Panda that had undergone several ownership changes over the past few years.
I couldn't find a menu online, and was ordering from the car while driving home, so I didn't order anything fancy, sticking to standard Chinese-American dishes: spare ribs, pork fried rice, crab rangoon, and chicken wings (also, I was trying to appeal to a toddler's palate). I had it delivered, and in a short time the delivery guy was driving up onto my lawn, talking into his cell phone to the restaurant while trying to handle me paying. No biggie; it's not like I have good landscaping, and he was quite friendly.
The food was decent. Very fresh and generous portions, which was good, since the 4 items came to $33 without tip. I would have ordered small appetizers, but they only have one size. They only included one container of duck sauce, and I could have used more, since the containers were on the large size. (Which they should have been for the price.) In short, it was good food, far better than the offerings at the Golden Palace in Milford (blech), and much better than the last incarnation of the Lucky Panda. I'll try them again.
Yelp's reviews indicate that they serve a different, traditional Chinese menu if you ask for it, and when I have more time to think about what I'm ordering, I'll definitely do that. Has anyone else been?
