Hello, Great Lakes Chowhounds!

I have an upcoming visit to Columbus, Ohio. I will have two dinners free. The other two will be group dinners with committee members, one at Lindey’s and one at The Barn. I am looking for two more dinners for a solo diner (may have a companion at one). I prefer fish and seafood, but not sure Columbus is the place to find it. Minneapolis has plenty of ethnic, so I can forego that. My preferences would be French, Italian or American. I will not have a car, and would prefer to walk (up to 3 miles) but can cab. I will be staying downtown, right next to Nationwide.

My short list consists of Refectory or the Pearl for one night, and G. Michael’s for the other. Ray Ray’s Hog Pit may be option for the second night, if we decide to do totally casual.

Would love your thoughts on these choices, as well as any other restaurants I should consider.

Thank you!
