My friend Tanya and I ate at Bordino's on Dickson St. last night (behind Jose's), and it was great again. We shared a spinach salad with goat cheese croutons, very good, and a risotto with mushrooms and truffle oil. Very simple, clean, rich, delicious! No dessert, which is unusual for us. If you haven't been to Bordino's since the new chef arrived, go! Oh, and kudos to our server, Leela (sp?) who told us she was new there but did a great job though it was very busy.
And for those of you coming up for football weekends this fall, the new Inn at Carnall Hall is booked for every single football weekend -- and the renovation isn't even finished yet! There will be a restaraunt in the Inn too, run by the James at the Mill people. Promises to be good. The Inn is on Maple St on the U of A Campus, and it looks like it's going to be a really nice place.
