I'm starting to plan for a trip to Brittany this summer. I've been looking at various websites about traditional Bretagne cuisine as well as contemporary French cuisine, and I was hoping some chowhounds would mention their favourites.
If your decision of where to stay in Brittany was based on where the best food options are located, where would you stay?
Besides L'Abadie (http://www.amphitryon-abadie.com/-Du-...), Thorel and Roellinger, are there any other high end restaurants you would recommend? I did find a lot of information in this previous thread: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/412160 . It seems most of the prix fixe lunches and dinners are somewhere between 100 and 140 Euros.
Which are your favourite mid-range restaurants, offering a prix-fixe in the 30-50 Euro range?
I'd be interested in hearing your favourite places for Cotriade (Breton fish stew) & crepes. Where would you go for lobster?
Do some restaurants offer good cooked oysters, or are they usually served raw in Brittany?
Are any restaurants especially known for their artichoke dishes?
Which restaurants would you recommend for the authentic chartered Breton seafood platters? http://www.brittanytourism.com/eng/pr...
Where are your favourite patisseries and cafes located?
