lately i've gotten really into making my own granola (i find store bought granola too sweet). my current favorite is:
2 parts rye oats
1 part 5 grain hot cereal (uncooked, obviously)
dried bing cherries
dried pears (cut into bite sized pieces)
1/8 part flax seeds
mix together, and then add approx. 1/2 can juice concentrate (apply juice works well) and a few tablespoons of oil. mix well. then toast at around 275 for 30 minutes, stirring occassionally.
can anyone else suggest other good homemade granola combinations? i'm getting a little tired of this version. many thanks!
