Where do you get your coffee beans from? I've mainly got mine online(Parlor Coffee, The Morning Movement Coffee, etc.) but I wonder if I there are good local coffee roasters. Thanks.
Coincidentally, I had a convo with my friend in Laguna Beach recently where he told me that there are new coffee roasters springing up in Orange County and he intends to do some exploring. I sent him my report on Reborn in Corona del Mar that I enjoyed two years ago. https://www.chowhound.com/post/reborn...
So far, he has recommended the macchiato at Common Room Roasters in Newport Beach. I'll ask him how the beans have turned out, as he brews at home too.

To let you know where his/my tastes run, my SOP was to bring him beans from Northern Calif roasters (San Francisco, Redding, Sacramento, SLO, Santa Cruz, etc.) or send them as a thank you gift after a visit. He's enjoyed Temple, Linea, Ritual, Equator, Cat & Cloud, Sightglass, Camellia, Andytown, Scout, Chromatic, and Compass from PDX. We also have our favorite third wave roasters in Ensenada when we're down there.
If you're good with ordering online, a little further south in SD, Bird Rock Coffee Roasters. Great place, check out their website.
