I spend enough time whining about Santa Fe's anemic lunch options that I need to take a quick moment to wax ecstatic about a phenomenal sandwich I had recently at Josh's BBQ: their turkey club is absolutely awesome.
Big slabs of thick-cut, house-smoked turkey, matching big slabs of thick-cut bacon (not sure if it's house-cured or not, but the quality is excellent), and fresh guacamole, on a toasted BBQ bun. Works well on its own, works even better as a vessel for their assorted BBQ sauces. At just over $8 a la carte (you can get sides for $1.50 more) for a sizable, but not gigantic sandwich, it isn't exactly a steal, but it's by all means good value considering the tip-top quality. It's not that it's anything fancy or unique, it's that it's exactly what a turkey club is supposed to be.
Josh's keeps growing on me; the big box location is pretty sterile, but honestly, who cares...great chow is great chow.
