Your favorite places to eat in Boston

Chowmiaow | Dec 30, 201706:51 AM

I’m more often disappointed than not when eating out or dining out (whichever term you prefer) in Boston and in vicinity. The biggest problem for me is the low quality ingredients used. I understand the food will have to be expensive but I’m willing to pay extra for that. For example, Boston being on a coast, I would think (perhaps wrongly) that the seafood would be excellent but instead I’m more often then not offered deep fried seafood. I don’t know if I have ever seen clams in Boston offered in a form other than deep fried. I do not enjoy deep fried food unless it’s cooked in fresh oil and it never is. Surely there must be a way to make clams in some other form, for example grilled in a shell etc. I love ethnic joints as well as “fine dining”. I’m sure there are a lot of hidden gems that I’m unaware of and I would love you guys to help me out compile a list of places to check out. Few places I enjoyed for example were Kareem’s in Watertown, Park 9, Best Little Restaurant in Chinatown and places I did not enjoy for example were Karl’s Kitchen, Cafe Polonia, Marliave on Bosworth Street, Cultivar on Court Street to name a few.

Thanks!

Cultivar,
Marliave,
Cafe Polonia
