new favorite pickles

Better than the pickles at Johnnie's Pastrami. Perhaps equal to some of the finest Korean delights at Sa Git Rol. But an actual pickle:

Beijing Islamic.

Their $1.95 cold cucumber appetizer is lightly pickled, spicy, and kind of awesome.

Also had their that night, lamb and pickled cabbage soup which is an incredible thing. There are only two flavors in it - the intense, enveloping, low flavor of lamb, and the sour, warm cabbage. It's like a cello and viola duet.

Right. That analogy sucked.

I'm rusty.
