While I do like Sun Wah and Vin Phat, my new favorite Chinese BBQ duck is served at Hon Kee Restaurant.
They serve roast Chinese Pork and Chicken too.
For those interested in a less fatty duck, they do have ducks that have been split as they roast, so that more fat drips away. Fat is what makes the flavor in meat so I go for the regular roast duck.
The duck is cooked perfectly, the sauce is stronger than other places Ive had in Chicago, which really is the major difference IMO that sets Hon Kee apart.
Just great, if you take it home as we do, just microwave the sauce to take the chill off.
Have them chop it up for you.
