Maybe I'm not a true Chowhound, but our department had our holiday lunch at the Fat Lady restaurant yesterday, and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
While we were waiting for everyone to arrive, we ordered some appetizers - the fried calamari, zucchini, and pate platter. I really liked the pate, and the little marinated olives.
There were 10 of us total, and the entrees ordered were: Steak Sandwich, Butterflied Prawns, Petrale Sole. Some lighter eaters ordered the dungeness crab cakes and shrimp louis salad. Everyone finished their plates - the only item not so good seemed to be the shrimp louis salad (just not very exciting, I guess). We also order dessert - creme brulee, meyer lemon pudding, chocolate torte. Lemon pudding and torte were excellent, creme brulee seemed more creamy than it's supposed to be.
Parking might be a challenge if you get there after noon. You can also park in the garage next door; the FL will validate your ticket so you pay a reduced rate. Meters abound, but make sure you get a 2-hour meter, not a 1-hour one.
Service was great, given how crowded they were. Bathrooms (at least the lady's) are clean. It's a small place, but festively decorated so it was a very fun lunch outing. The hostess is rather brusque, but that's okay since you don't really deal much with her (the wait staff are much friendlier).
