Fat City Blues Review

emq | Apr 27, 201510:09 AM

Went to Fat City Blues last Saturday night with a group of four.
We got there early as they do not take reservations. The place is long and narrow with plenty of seating. The venue has live music after 9:30 and there is a piano. When we arrived the sound system had Louisiana style jazz/blues playing, nice but loud. The server had to repeat the beer selections and specials several times to be heard. We ordered cocktails ($11/$13) and beers, the standout being the gin/lemon and Chambord cocktail. The dozen raw oysters for the table were on the smalls from glacier bay. Po boy's (Alligator and Catfish) were both tasty. Crab legs were average, and Oysters Rockefeller(3) very nice. Plump, larger oysters with a crispy gratin. All of the food portions were on the small side and meant to be shared, so you need to order quite a few items to be satisfied. Might return again to hear the music and have drinks.
