Fat Cat Cafe - Oakland

Sean Whittier | Oct 29, 200202:57 PM

OK, so I had just decided that I would not post every restaurant I went to, but now here I am the very next day.

Fat Cat Cafe
between 16 & 17th on Telegraph
Oakland, CA
Meal: Lunch
Ordered: Big Daddy Sandwich & White Beans Ham Hocks and Rice
Price: $4.95 for sandwich $2.00 for soup
Service: 80
Taste: 90
Comment: Food was really good. The sandwich was fine. I am not a huge sandwich person, but I enjoyed it. What made me give it the high rating is that I loved the white beans, ham hocks and rice soup. I had never tried it, and decided to try. I loved it. This combined with a good sandwich, I will be back for sure (and often). It is in a run down looking street, but the restaurant is fine. It is small, with a very friendly staff. It is New Orleans based, and an overall fun place to go for lunch.
