We are value-driven diners, looking for wonderful food at great prices. Ambiance (sp?) is not on our list of desired attributes. We will be in DC this weekend. We love public transportation and we are great walkers. Don't want to leave DC on this trip, even though I know we have to visit some of the 'burbs for Asian at some point in the future.
On previous visits we have loved Fast Gourmet*, oohhs and aahhs, and lunch at Bibiana---they all satisfied our "great food at value prices" criterion. Oh, and I loved the spreads at Zaytinya's (sp?) happy hour. Got any more suggestions for us? We like anything except Sushi. And no Ethiopian because our Ethiopian is truly wonderful in Mpls- St. Paul.
Is CF Folks as good as the places I listed in the paragraph above?
Thanks, DC 'hounds.
* Just reviewed a few pages of DC Chowhound and read that Fast Gourmet is still putting out good food. Good to know.
