Farmshop's Breakfast Pastrami?

I've had it a few times. Randomly decided to go get the plate this morning. An expertly composed plate. Weirdly enough, everything seemed better than the pastrami this time around. The apple-mustard sauce it is supported with is pure crack, especially as balanced by the brussel sprouts. The potatoes, and hen of the woods mushrooms were perfectly seasoned as well. The eggs may be the most deftly poached anywhere in LA.

Alas, last time I had it, the pastrami was more pink, more tender, and a bit more peppery. This time it was somewhat tough, and sort of bland. I think maybe they overcooked it a bit (it seems like a lot of breakfast places have been overcooking breakfast meats lately). Still, the fat on the pastrami was unbelievable.

The plate has salty, savory, sweet, and bitter going on in it, and feels surprisingly light for a dish of pastrami in the morning. Also comes with some of the best toast and salted butter in town.

Even with the overcooked pastrami, it seems to me like this is one of the best breakfast plates in LA, but it is rarely talked about.
