Have Farmer's Market apple pies gone downhill??

While some may disagree with me for thinking that Farmer's Market brand Apple Pie is a great grocery store apple pie, as of tonight I am no longer a fan. Something has DEFINITELY changed... They became a staple a few years ago since the family matriarch stopped baking and I somehow never had the time to pick up a good homemade bakery apple pie for holiday dinners... but I wasn't complaining.... I was actually amazed at how good they were, until tonight. Picked one up at Loblaws and all it took was one bite to realize that they changed their recipe.... The apples are now that horrible chalky texture that you find in the cheapest of the cheap apple pies (yes, we've all regretfully tried them), and I hesitate to say that the crust also seems to have gone down a notch or two... using cheaper shortening or something. Anyway... just wondering if anyone else has noticed this about their pies as of late... Not looking for judgment on my "past" enjoyment of these pies (sometimes convenience rules), but I would like to know if anyone else has noticed that they've changed and gone downhill. All I can say is that I'm now officially looking for another lazy, grocery store apple pie brand to replace Farmer's Market. After one slice, this one is going in the garbage. It's the end of an era... sniff, sniff.... With Easter coming up and my laziness in full swing, your recommendations for the best grocery store apple pie brand are appreciated.
